Additional Information:

Payne is not much of a fighter in real life. His tactics involve kicking people, preferably in the head, and then running.
Meaning that in the competition, if he gets cornered, or if he someone how gets separated from OP and Samael, he's kinda screwed.
Now, he won't go down easy, and he isn't afraid to nail people in the shins, but he doesn't have any Upper body strength and is pretty useless in a fight.
But, he can take a punch very well. After years of being picking on at school, he's learned how to not tense up when hit and just let his body be thrown about.
So sure, he'll be getting hit, but he'll keep getting back up.

Though, this probably isn't a good thing for OP, seeing how everytime Payne gets harmed, he feels it too.
For example, if Payne gets punched in the stomach and the air gets knocked out of him, the same happens to OP, though, unlike Payne, instead of doubling over and hacking, he'd be more likely to stumble and gasp.
In the same regard, say Payne gets a cut across his cheek, a cut will appear, as it's happening, on OP's cheek.
If OP gets hurt though, Payne does not. It is one-way.
Enough of that though, and more onto how he fights.
He's more of a brutal hand-to-hand, kind of guy. He likes to brawl more than use tactics and plan how to get his opponent.
But, if Payne is in trouble he'll draw on whatever abilities he can to save the boy.
For this competition I'm having it that he can use Electricity to his advantage. But, he has to have an outside source.
Like, a Thunder storm has to be happening or he has to be holding a plugged in extension cord.
When using Electricity, he can use it as if it were a natural ability. Conjure it, shoot it, shock people. That kinda shit.
When he uses the scythe, which he does if he is close to Payne, OP tends to 'grab' people with it by holding on end close to a blade, pull them in and then slice them with the blade he has close at hand.

Now, Samael.
He tends to stay on the back burner unless he's dragged in or he is really needed.
He would rather watch a fight then participate.
Despite being a Dream, he's a dark/unholy being. Meaning that true dreams that have the ability to use light to their advantage, can do great harm to him.
He can also use darkness to his advantage, to shadow the playing field and make it harder for the opponent to find him using sight.
If he is forced into hand-to-hand combat, he tends to use his small stature to his advantage to duck and dodge.
His hands look a normal childs hands, but his right has a ghost limb that appears as a four-fingered hand with sharp pointed tips.
He will use it if he thinks he needs too. But he usually tends to rely on his opponent underestimating him, and going for the neck.
His stamina is very low, and he is slow due to his leg. It causes him constant pain but he tends to block it out.
